Well, it will work, just know that that leaves a lot of hollow space that the radar will hit. I don't think a lot of that data can be very reliable unless what you are looking for specifically is where the hollow space is. The radar is looking for anything that is not homogeneous to the base material that you are scanning (the CMU, for instance). Once it hits anything that is not that, it will appear in the scan. So, air voids, it will pop up in a big way.
